Suzie Campbell, M.Ed has been riding and working with horses since she begged her mother for riding lessons at the tender age of 8. After riding and competing as a teenager on the New Jersey horse show circuit, she continued to ride in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association while at college. Suzie won numerous national champion-ships and was cited in Sports Illustrated for being the top collegiate rider in the country. She was inducted into the Colby-Sawyer College Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2009 for her equestrian accomplishments. Suzie and her horse, Finn, currently train with Joe Forest at Horton’s Farm in Grantham, NH. When Suzie is not hanging out at the barn you can find her teaching sixth grade in Hooksett, or in Bow, NH where she lives with her husband and daughter. Suzie is the daughter of Julie Horrigan, co-founder of CHAMP. Suzie became a NARHA Certified Instructor- Registered in 2001. She teaches at a therapeutic riding center in NH and continues to volunteer at CHAMP during the summer. |

| Jean Desranleau is Executive Director of CHAMP as well as the barn manager and program director. She grew up at Contentment Farm which is now known as CHAMP at Good Hope Farm. She has been riding, working with horses and teaching riding for most of her life. She has helped develop the CHAMP program over the past 20 years and is delighted to be back living in South Hero and working full time with CHAMP. Jean is a NARHA Certified Instructor - Registered. | ||
| Julie Horrigan NARHA Advanced Instructor, Co-founder of CHAMP (Champain Adaptive Mounted Program) in 1987 and has been active in all phases of this endeavor since its inception; CEO, Program Director,"Herdsman" for procuring suitable horses for the CHAMP Program, Board Member, and Instructor with Advanced NARHA Certification in Physical and Cognitive Disorders. Her background as a Pediatric Physicians Assistant as well as her experience as an Instructor of able bodied riders for over ten years has enabled her to pass down this knowledge to her riders. She also has coached two riders to the World Special Olympic Games with considerable success. More recently she has begun training as a NARHA Associate Site Visitor to certify other sites in NARHA Accreditation. | ||
| Mike Olson grew up in Texas with a family quarter horse named Gus and has always loved being around horses. He left Texas and Gus to see the country and landed in California where he traded riding horses for riding waves, but somewhere on around the 4753rd wave he decided to get back to his roots. Mike now lives in beautiful Vermont with his wife and two daughters. He has a dog named Sue, a horse named Zippo and about 120,000 bees with all sorts of names. Mike is a NARHA Certified Instructor who has a passion for all things kid & animal alike. | ||
| Sue Tebbetts is the Mom of 2 children. She was a 4-H leader in Chittenden County for 15 years. She works at the University of Vermont in the Residents halls. The joy in her life is to be around people and be able to help them. She has been around horses for the past 20 years between 4-H and being a Pony Club Mom. Sue is a NARHA Certified Instructor and the Volunteer Coordinator for CHAMP. | ||
| Mary E. Willmuth, Ph.D., ABPP is a licensed psychologist with a specialty in rehabilitation psychology. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the department of Psychiatry, at the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine. She is Board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation Psychology, and is listed in the National Register of Health Services Providers in Psychology. She has worked with CHAMP for over 15 years, serves as vice-president of the CHAMP Board of Directors and is a NARHA Certified Instructor - Registered. |
